What I did in September & early October

This is just a short update about what I've been doing in the month of September and early October...

Here's what i did,
- I had the best ribs ever in 'Smokey Jack Rib & Steak House', Upper Penang Road...
- I got my Xaverian 62nd edition School Magazine...
- I kissed ______ & ______ in Hoi Wei's Birthday Party/Lantern Festival...
- I had a crazy time in Michael's house warming/party...pictures and videos can bee seen in Facebook..
- I stopped wearing my Giordano glasses, thanks to OPTIVIEW...
- My INDEX helmet & CREATIVE ZEN mp4 player got stolen by a bunch of Malay F-ers...
- My SAMSUNG LCD monitor got screwed up...
- I went to my very first and final Co-curriculum Night...I wore a red Samfu and I look awesome in it XD...
- I got my new 'baby'...and she is Beautiful...XD

and i think that's about it...
Oh yea, i forgot to mention one more thing,
-I CAN OFFICIALLY DRIVE NOW!!!...

so watch out people, I'll be hitting the roads near you!!!

Celebrate the ending of trials

Today is the last day of my 3 weeks trial exam and now its time to destress...

Most of the guys will be in Netcity playing CS, L4D, Farcry, DOTA or what so ever games...
but for me, i choose to go bowling with some friends of mine...

Sarah, Yunn Pheng, Sean and I went to Penang Bowl for a few rounds of bowling...
we planned to bowl for just an hour, but we endded up bowling for 2 hours...

the first round was a warm up round cause all of our scores were sucky....in the second, third and fourth round we were playing better......

for a moment there, we were enjoying more on changing each others names rather than bowling...
here's our so called "names"

Sarah ->Sam->Gforce->I is Sarah
Yunn ->Jayne->Jayze->Joystick

surprisingly those nicknames given by Sarah and Sean brought me luck in the game
my score reached over a hundred, i had 4 spares, 3 strikes and i beat Sarah the ex-CPT Bowling Club Chairlady in all four rounds....

in the end, the highest scorer was Sean, followed by Me, Sarah and Yunn Pheng

Trials Over

Finally, my trials are OVER!!
and now i can relax a little...

I know this blog can be considered dead because I've not been writing anything for over a month now...
this is all thanks to my trial exam...
for the past month, I've been studying in the public library everyday just for my trials but i don't think i did well at all..
its over now, so who cares...

From next week onwards, you'll see me studying my ass off in the Public Library after school hours...
Everyone are welcome to join me, preferably those who are good in Chemistry and Additional Mathematics cause i seriously need help in those subjects...

group study?

This is first time I've ever been into a group study with people other than me and myself...and this is the second time I've been into the library...

The group consist of Yunn Pheng, Sarah, Liani, Sean, Manpreet, Manpreet's lil' brother, Nieralen, an indian girl which i forgotten her name and me....all of them are upper six except for Nieralen, Manpreet's lil' brother and me

surprisingly, i actually studied...even with a group of friends, i still managed to study and stuff went into my head....wow!

other than studying, we did had our share of talking, laughing, playing and joking...we even listened to some music while studying...

i listened to 'something' that i shouldn't have listened, despite being warned by Sarah...and that 'something' was just too disgustingly funny that it made me laugh uncontrollably like a lunatic until my face turn red and i even laughed till my stomach cramped up,now i know how Yunn Pheng feels...

Studying in a group of fun and crazy people in the public library was FUN...

Birthday Lunch @ Straits Kitchen

Sarah and Yunn Pheng treat me to a Birthday lunch at Straits Kitchen...YAY!!

Straits Kitchen is located right beside Convent Light Street...it has a pink signboard which i don't think you can miss it if you pass by CLS...even though the signboard is striking, i think it's a little too much

the atmosphere inside the restaurant was pleasant...the interior design of this restaurant has a fusion of European and traditional Penang Chinese...i especially like the bar, it looks awesome!...

We started off with 'Napoleon Crust', which is suppose to be our dessert but since it came first, we take it as an appetizer....

Napoleon Crust is a pastry with 3 crust and cream in between...i especially like the cream because it's really rich and sweet...the cream goes really well with the crust, great combination...

For the main course we ordered the Spicy Ribs, Spaghetti Marinara and a roast chicken dish with black pepper sauce which I've forgotten the name... as a side dish we ordered Okonomiyaki...

For dessert, we each had a Durian Puff...it's like a cream puff but with durian cream filling....

While having our dessert, Yunn Pheng did some childish thing with the durian Cream....such a childish little girl... XD

12th August

Board of Disciplinarians' Annual General Meeting.

This is the day where old Exco's hand over their duty to the new Exco's....
I officially retire for my post as the Vice-chairman of BOCM...

I felt really happy because I'm free from all duties but at the same time i felt sad because I'm gonna miss all the time i spent in the boards... all the lower sec. duties, lepak-ing in the BOCM room, joking with my fellow exco's, getting into trouble and especially my locker where i keep all my 'stuff' in there and many other things, I'm really gonna miss them all....

and to my successor, Mr. Kam Chong Ping, all i wanna say is good luck and enjoy life in the boards....

the AGM is also a day where some of the old outstanding Exco's got promoted to a Prefect...to the good ones, they got promoted to a Probationary Junior Prefect and to the exceptionally good ones, they got promoted to a Junior Prefect....and guess what, i got promoted to a Junior Prefect!...but the Prefectship only last for 2 days...so it's only 2 days of prefect duty...

once the AGM was over...it was time to handover our locker and door keys.....I'm really gonna miss my locker, no more keeping 'stuff'... T.T

It's my Birthday! so happy birthday to me...

First of all i would like to thank everyone who wished me, gave me presents or bring me out to makan...THANK YOU people!!!

The very first 'present' i received was from Yunn Pheng and Sarah...a traditional SXI Birthday hose down but with out the hose, substitute the hose with bottles of water...after 4 years of escaping from getting wet, unfortunately for this year, the girls got me...it was my first but hopefully last time...someday i'm gonna get both of you, starting with Yunn Pheng cause her birthday is coming soon...

and to the guy who tried to give me a wedgie, I'm sorry to tell you but you SUCK!! instead of him trying to give me a wedgie, i gave him a GOOD one

The day I was suppose to blow off candles from a cake but unfortunately i became terribly sick, so no cake for me and no dinner at Manhattan Fish Market, sad...... if I'm not mistaken, this will be the 3rd year i celebrated without a birthday cake..Awesome! not

the only good food we had was pizza & spaghetti.... T.T

14th August

Handover Ceremony + Last Day of Duty

today will be the last day of duty for the outgoing upper 6 and form 5 disciplinarians
everyone especially the out going disciplinarians are a little wild and hyperactive during duties
i even tried out Traffic Warden duty, holding the 'red lollipop' was fun but unfortunately it will be my first and last traffic's duty....

There was this slide show competition organized by Anak-anak Kota regarding Georgetown as one of the UNESCO world heritage site... i thought it was interesting and easy cause all we have to do is make a 10 pages slide show with the theme ' Why Georgetown is awarded to the UNESCO heritage site?' ...so i created a team and participated in this competition...

we were given 3 weeks to make our slide show but we procrastinated for 2 weeks and we were left with one week to finish our slide show presentation...since we were lack of time, we just simply did it and be done with it....

we didn't expect to get anything cause it's a last minute work but when the results came out, our group name, SAINTZ, was stated as one of the 5 finalists...when we saw the results, we were like laughing our arses off.....

The final winner will be 100% decided by public voting...
since were in the finals, our 'kiasu' mode is ON and now are aiming to beat them all...

A(H1N1) is in SXI

As you all know A(H1N1) is a virus which has been causing outbreaks globally and also this virus is know to cause many deaths around the world…

We know this virus dangerous but no one seems to bother, not even me… even when this virus is in Penang, people still treat it as a minor matter… But when this virus contracts one of their friend, everyone, no matter friend or not, starts to take precautions such wearing face masks, washing hands and all those stuff…

Today, more and more students rushed to the counseling room just to buy a face mask... this is because the news of students from my school who have been infected by this virus is now around the whole school… now there are 2 confirmed cases of students infected by A(H1N1) virus and there were also a few suspected…

Guess what, one of the student who was infected by the virus is in the same class as ME…woohoo!!... This morning, the whole class of 5SC3 was quarantined in the hall and everyone got their temperatures checked… studies went on as usual even though we were quarantined in the hall and the teachers who taught us came in wearing face mask…

If this thing becomes worse, we are in for an unscheduled early holiday...it could be good news or bad news for us... good news is, NO SCHOOL!!...bad news is, we will be left behind in studies and that's bad for those who are sitting for SPM or STPM...

All we can do now is just hope that those who were infected will get well soon and hope that this virus will subside soon...

Tourism Club Farewell Luncheon

Date: 3rd August
Venue: Kopitiam, City Bayview Hotel

After 3 long years of serving as a committee in this club, I’m finally retired!! No more responsibilities, no more in-charge and no more work!!… Even so, I’m really gonna miss the club, especially the trips, the visits, the carnivals and also the charity events

Usually our club’s farewell was held in the classroom, but for some reason this year it was held in City Bayview Hotel…and usually the out going committees will receive a small token of appreciation, but this year we more than just a token of appreciation, we got gifts… especially the Chairman, blogger, he got the most gifts… he received a trophy of appreciation, a certificate, a travel bag, a pink strap, a mini pouch and also a CD case from the lucky draw…

Most of the outgoing members chose fish & chips for their main course, so did I…while the others had chicken chop, nasi tomato and nasi lemak... First we had mushroom soup, then the main course, followed by ice-cream and ended with coffee or tea…

In Xaverian’s unofficial tradition, the outgoing leader or chairman will get their underwear ripped out of their pants or most of you may refer to it a wedgie. But luckily for chairman of the tourism club, he managed to escape this predicament… Hopefully the others will forget about it and continue their normal life. XD

Spastic Centre

A visit to the Cerebral Palsy Children’s Association also know as the Spastic Centre, it is really an eye opening experience for me. Once I looked at those physically and mentally challenged children, it made me realize how lucky we are to have normal working limbs and mind which are able to think properly. Even with those obstacles blocking their path, those children still strive to learn and to live a better life. I’m really glad that I taught them something and made them a little more happy.

The Tourism Club went to the Spastic Centre to help the children decorate a heart shaped cardboard in conjunction with the national day. Each student is assigned to help a children decorate their heart shaped cardboard.

I was assigned to help this little girl name Loke Yin Sze. She understands everything I said and she not only speaks English, she also speaks in Malay, Mandrin and even Hokkien. She is just wonderful girl

Sam was also assigned to help a little girl. Her name was Lim Chun Tian and she is incredibly CUTE. As always, Sam gets all the cute girls. She looked very happy when she is with Sam. It looks as if she likes him XD

After the decorating was done, everyone gave their assigned children a new pencil case as a present. Later we were given a tour of the centre and after that, it was time to say goodbye…

The reason I went there is for the Japanese food, fireworks and the occasional lepaking with friends… at the beginning, I went there with Michael, Nelson and Boon Jin. The sky was still bright when we got there. We bought some coupons and grab ourselves some Japanese food. After they ran out of coupons, they just sat a side and just chat while I went around finding more food… Later, they went to gurney plaza for a game of pool without me…so I hung out alone for a while, then I bump into Yunn Pheng…she was alone so I just tag along with her…we got ourselves some food and sat on some random car to have our food…while we were having our food the fireworks started….it wasn’t the best angle to watch the fireworks but luckily we didn’t missed it….the fireworks was 10 minutes early this year…

Later after the fireworks ended, I met with Yunn Pheng’s brother, Winson Eng. He is a cool guy, he even asked me to go clubbing with him…but we didn’t go because he said he don’t want to be a bad influence to me…lol… He is also a funny guy….after chatting for a while, we each went home…

I'm one of the committee...thankfully I'm not chosen to be in multimedia again and guess what, I'm chosen to be the Official Photographer for the camp!!!
too bad Siva didn't attend the camp, or else i would be using his Canon EOS 1000D

This camp is meant for the lower six and form four disciplinarians..
we the form 5 and upper six, are the in-charge of the camp...

Overall, the camp was not as fun as the other camps but still it's considered OK....

BLOOD: The Last Vampire

After the charity walk, Yunn Pheng and I planned to watch Transformers but unfortunately the movie was fully booked..
so we decided to watch Blood: The Last Vampire an 18SG movie....

before the movie, we went to Nando's to have lunch...

before going into the movie, I was like planning how to sneak into the cinema because i was afraid the guy will check my IC cause the movie is rated 18SG and I'm still underage...
but when we got there we don't even need to sneak in cause the guy doesn't seem to bother how old am I....

the movie was not as scary as I'd expected...but it's scary enough to startled Yunn and there was once i need to help her cover her eyes during a gory scene...
To me it is more funny than scary....the blood was so fake and the CGI was terrible....
but the story line was just OK...

'Walk For Sight' Charity Walk

Walk For Sight

Date: 28th June 2009

Venue: Jalan Sepoy Lines, Padang Polo

'Walk for Sight' Charity Walk 2009 is organized by Region 1 Lions Clubs & Leo Clubs together with St. Nicholas' Home, Penang in partnership with the Penang State Sports Council.
In this walk, participants are required to walk in pairs, with one being blindfolded and led by another, thus giving the sighted the opportunity to experience blindness, to value sight and to appreciate teamwork; to have Fun and of course raise the much needed funds for St. Nicholas' Home, Penang to help the visually impaired

The walk was fun...it started from Padang Polo to SGGS to Jalan Residensi and back to Padang Polo....

My partner was Yunn Pheng and as usual, the guy will be the one blindfolded and the girl will be the one guiding the temporary blind...

after we're done with the walk, we got free drinks and a certificate...

later, it's the lucky draw session...unfortunately Yunn Pheng and I didn't get anything...

KK day

Today is Kokurikulum Day and it's the worst KK day ever, for me at least..

you wanna know why!...I'll tell you why!...

i was forced to be the commander of some insubordinate marchers!
they made me so mad until i said stuff that i shouldn't say
it's so damn difficult to ask them to do something, they only listens to the TL and not me!
how the Hell am i going to be the commander when they won't listen to me!
all they do is complain that my command is too soft!
i can't help it that my voice can't be as loud as the boys brigade
you guys picked me, so that's what you get!....

this year our performances are worse than last year....
we won only one trophy this year which is 1st for "pameran"

i didn't took any pictures because i forgot to bring my camera to the field
even if i brought my camera there, there wouldn't be anyone to take pictures for me...

Green Hike

Venue: Pantai Kerachut, Teluk Bahang Forest Reserve

This year's Green Hike was organized by the Rovers.

The Hike up to the beach wasn't that much fun because we were way behind the line.... too bad Azaad's portable speakers got screwed up....

At the beach we had lunch...

after that was station games....Sam and I were in-charge of the natural shelter station...

Sam almost got screwed by the 'ma lehs' for plucking leaves from the forest reserve..

when it's time to hike back, Sam, Azaad and I decided to catch up to the front of the line...and we did it, but after that i seem to have a sudden burst of adrenalin rush...for a sudden i felt so energetic and i don't really seem to feel tired...

towards the end of the hike, my fatigue starts to kick in, then i slowed down and chat with Yunn all the way to the end where we met Sarah waiting for us....

Later, Yunn and I went to the shop to get some drink and enjoy the air-con....while in there, we chat for quite a while....

After everyone came back from the hike we depart back to school......

Planned to go Queensbay Mall after the hike but ended up going to Sam's house for some DOTA & L4D coaching....

Objective: Taking pictures & video of Jin Shan

I don't usually read, but here I am reading a novel by my own free will without being forced....

To tell you truth, this is the first book I've read without being forced...
and the title of the book is 'STARDUST' by Neil Gaiman....

The movie is good, so I expect the novel to be better
and it is, even after reading only 3 chapters...

I vow to complete this novel, and this novel will be the first novel that I've complete....hopefully
and i want to thank Mizuki so very much for finding this book & borrowing it to me....

SXI Tourism Club and Westland were invited by Anak-anak Kota to be the "guinea pig" for the Heritage walk...

The heritage walk is not official yet...so we were invited to do a trail run and give feed backs about the Heritage walk...

This concert totally changed my perspective on the electronic organ...

to see Yoshihiro's fingers and feet flying across the keys of the electronic organ was simply amazing...and the music created was just mesmerizing...

"Yoshihiro Ando graduated from Kunitachi university and has been the official Electone player of Yamaha Music Foundation since 1997. Besides performing, he plays an active role as a composer of events" and is also an avid music arranger. Some of his achievements include the release of his original music compositions CDs and the publications of his music pieces.

Red Crescent Youth State Camp

Red Crescent Youth Camp

Date: 30/5/09 - 1/6/09 (the Scouts only went there on 31/5/09)

Venue: S.K. Jalan Residensi

Our duty is to teach the RC members about square lashing and making a miniature gadget...
I have to stand in front of a whole bunch of them and explain about square lashing, since the others no guts to explain...

after that, each scout teaches a group on square lashing....while teaching, i managed to make some friends, 1 from CLS, 2 from St. Mark and 1 from a Malay school...the weird thing is, they know my name and I don't know a single one of their names....

once the miniature gadget activity is done, it's station games by the scouts...
I randomly help out in the monkey crawl & dead man station....
I did like 8 times of monkey crawl...
after that i got rope burns on my hand and legs....it freakin' hurts..

while i was there, i think i saw an old friend, Josephine Goh, she sems to be looking at me as if she wants to talk to me, if it's not her then i must be dreaming..

after getting my certificate of appreciation, i went back home..

I planned to go to KissA Koyotei a long time ago...but everytime, either it clashes with my schedule or my friend's schedule, some even made excuses not to go there....so end up, i didn't get to go until TODAY...

Michael, Jin Shan & I went to KissA Koyotei to have lunch....

The atmosphere was very nice...it has a touch of Japanese Cosplay Cafe and a Sake bar...

The food was authentically Japanese and it tastes great...the food was prepared by a Japanese chef...

I had the Buta Shogayaki set while Michael and Jin Shan had the Unagi Kabayaki set

the waitresses were all in Cute Japanese Maid Uniforms....

fortunately for us, the day's colour was pink....

i didn't notice the girl with the braces but i still think Gillian was still the best..XD

We were all satisfied with the food, atmosphere, prospects and everything there...

the many varieties of food and liquor kept us wanting more...

KissA Koyotei is currently my favorite Japanese restaurant in Penang...

I'll definitely be coming back...

I was unaware of the event until yesterday night when the Boyscout TL inform me about it....since i got some spare time...so i decided to go...but too bad Yunn & Sarah are unable to attend cause they were booked on the day...

the event is something like a miniature version of the Amazing Race for Scouts..
Penang Heritage is kinda like my strong point, so i thought it would be a piece of cake for me..
but unfortunately is not that easy when you are leading a bunch of obstaine and sometimes rebellious 19 year olds...

almost throughout the event most my members was like chillin' and relaxin' without even bothering that they are in a race...and me, i was like struggling the whole way trying to control them but failed...

even though we were all laid-back, we still managed to complete all the tasks given...we didn't expect to get anything because we were like one of the last group to the finish line...but what do you know, we got bronze...^.^
it was so unexpected...

Tourism Club: Caving Gua Tempurong

I gotta say this is one of the best club outings I've been to...

usually is the talks, poster making, factory visits, hospital visits, quizzes, competition, bla bla bla the lists goes on...

now we finally get to go out of Penang even though it's not the far but still it's quite a distance....

Gua Tempurong...

not bad for a tourist attraction spot...but still infested with "kawasaki's"

we started of with the river tour where we go through to underground river passage way...

everyone got wet along the process...

after that, we got the chance to slide down the slant clay wall & go down into the underground hole...

after that, we climbed hundreds of steps up to the top of the world tour...

once we got to the top, the view was scary but magnificent at the same time

from there on we see lots of funny & weird looking caving features

sorry i didn't took much pictures of the cave features cause my CANON A620 is not that advance as a DSLR...

once the tour was done everyone cool off in the Tempurong river flowing from the cave...

after that it's clean up, lunch, group picture and off to Penang....

-took over 500 awesome pictures which is almost the same amount as LTC

-got along with most of the committees

-took lots of candid shots & couple shots.....the best was S.Yeoh&S.Boo XD

-got to use Shaun's Nikon DSLR

-finally took a decent display picture of myself in Halftone or B&W

-made the kids eat my stinky + nasty concoction

-made a guy puked with my stinky + nasty concoction

-fooled a kid into going the wrong way during the blindfold game

-made kids squish 'worms' and rub it on their faces

-played with the awesome sound system

-became obsessed over Taylor Swift

-bathe in the girls bathroom

-had McD and played CTT 2am in the morning

-slept in Ken Shen's BMW

-checked out Mahesh's pimped out ride

-some people used my first name

-got the Fast & Furious soundtrack

-the multimedia system went flawlessly

The Bad

-the kid can't seem to respect the speakers during the sessions

-didn't get any messages from the affirmation

-got a size M instead of a size L t-shirt

-the final group picture wasn't that good

-gave them a clue which is too obvious during ghost hunt

-unable to sleep well cause i sweat a lot at night

-can't sleep in the air-conditioned dorm
-can't take any embarrassing photos of Daniel Song.....you're lucky

It has been a long time since i hang out with a bunch of friends that i can really mix with and not being left out eventhough they are way older than me...it's like the best feeling ever...

i have no idea why but i mix with them better than i mix with my classmates or rather anyone in my school...

Here's how it goes,

went straight to Gurney from TMC...

met up with Yunn & Sarah to have lunch...Bert was in some hotel having a buffet...so we decided have lunch at Manila Place....

Factory Visit

This will be the last factory visit for me since it's my last year in the Tourism Club...

this year's visit was no as fun as the previous years.....

because my friends ppk me just to play DOTA and i have 'babysit' a bunch of annoying kids....

but still, the factories were not bad....

it started out as a coincidence, i went to Angel to have lunch by myself since there was no one to go with...
i didn't expect to meet Bert, Yunn and Sarah there, they were actually done with their lunch but they were nice enough to wait for me while i have my lunch...

after lunch we went back to the board's room and chat...we chat until we lost track of time...by then it was in the evening....
then we decide to have dinner at Red Garden...there, we chat more and also planned to go bowling this Sunday at 1stop ...

after we're done with dinner, we all head back home...

Yeah, I know I look like a geek who is an expert when it comes computers, but too bad I'm not

I don't even know what are the properties of my own computer....
i don't know what kind of processor i have

i don't know what kind of system my computer has
i don't know a single thing
i just know how to play song, play certain games, use certain programs and application

and yet i got chosen to be in Multimedia again...and now it's for JLTC...

I can't even compare with Mahesh's knowledge of computers
he is like 1000 times better than me in computer stuff
thank god he is also one of the Multimedia guy
now, knowing that he is helping me, i get to relax a little...

Why do I always have to be in Multimedia in almost every major events?

Actually i wasn't planning to go anywhere...but then i got to get something for my brother cause it's his birthday....so ended up going to Gurney....
while i was there i joined Michael and Azaad....they introduce me to some new friends, Aimee, Danielle & Mahesh......
i met with a few friends there too.....most of them are from sggs...

we had our lunch in A&W...
after that went for a game of pool...it was my first time playing pool....as usual i suck at the beginning...then i did OK towards the end...well, i think so XD

later we Danielle, Michael, Azaad & I went to Big Apple to get some donuts....we chat a lot there..actually they chat a lot...i was just listening to them....XD

after that we went to McD for some fries and coke....
they chat a lot more....
then one by one we went back....

At the end,
i bought Big Apple's donut as a present....

Relay for Life '09

Azaad, Michael and I walked to Youth Park from Azaad's house...

we arrived there a few minutes late...during that time, the first even which is the starting of the relay just started...

we registered RM20 per person and got our t-shirts with some paper regarding the Relay for Life...

During the opening dance, it was so regretful cause i forgot to bring my camera.....i missed the opportunity for taking videos and pictures.....

luckily my dad was able to bring my camera on the evening of the first day....from then on, i began to take lots of pictures...XD

Michael and I slept over at Azaad's place....

we planned to wake up early in the morning but we woke up kinda late...

we went to youth park again.....then i meet a new friend, Kim Choon....

During the second day, there was tug-of-war, aerobics and more relaying......

at the end, St. Xavier's Institution won the best decorated tent...the prize was a big box of chocolates....

7th Georgetown North Investiture '09

It's boring like every other years....
hours of standing, cheering and yelling....
the only best part about the whole event is dinner...

it all started with speeches by the VIP and scoutmaster...
followed by giving out of scarf to the juniors....this was the most boring part of the whole event...the emcee will call their names one by one for the scout master and the assistant scout master to put on the scarf for them...it takes like 3 minutes to put the scarf on the juniors...and a total of 50 juniors were getting their scarf....guess how long that takes...

after that it's dinner....its the same every year....same caterer, same food and same drinks.....but this year there was no ice kacang stall and char koay teow stall...

after dinner, the seniors, including me, received their certificates and 'tongkat'.....
once that was done, we sang the troop song and taps...
next everyone went to clear up the gadget....Sam and I ran off to the boards room and just talk crap...
once everyone went back, so did we...

BOCM Orientation Camp

I wouldn't call it a camp cause the whole event is just 6 hours...it's more like an orientation day than a camp.....

I woke up late and reached school late..about 15 minutes late...

when i got there registration started followed by briefing about the camp...

next was ice breaking...it was kinda different than the other ice breaking I've seen.....it was OK, kinda boring but still OK...

after ice breaking, we played a game called 'senior says'.... it's similar to Simon says..

next was the chasing game that we played during LTC which i don't know how to call it...

after that, it was a session by Mr.Asri followed by Mr.Shamsudin the counsellor...while the members were in the session, we, the committees, were filling up balloons with water and splashing each other....

there's so many colleges to choose from...and all of them has the course I'm interested in but with different offers and price....some are simple and reasonable, some are complex and difficult....
i can't seem to make up my mind on which college to go to....

currently i got my eyes on a few colleges such as,

-ATI ASIA
-Olympia College
-Taylor's College
-PTPL College
-Nilai University College
-HELP University College

those colleges are all awesome.....some are interesting, some are complex but all of those colleges have the course that I'm interested in which is Hospitality & Hotel Management....
so many to choose from, but with one to choose?.....

Dance practice

Inauguration is this Friday and we just started our 1st dance practice.....
and it gets worse, we have to show Pn.Ong our dance by tomorrow...
i hope Wen Han can settle the dance by tomorrow morning...

the dancers are Kar Ming, Khai Fern, Wen Han, Richard & I...
skipped the first 3 periods to practice dancing...
at the beginning i was like blur the whole way.....then later i kinda got the hang of it....

while dancing, i went down too hard and sprain my ankle..
at first, i didn't felt anything ...then later on, the pain starts to kick in...when i got back home, i took off my shoes, socks and found a bulge the size of a ping-pong ball!!!...it freakin' hurts!!!

I'm not sure whether i can dance tomorrow...
i hope it will recover by tomorrow...

i just simply assign them to individual blocks...

after the block checking was done, we went to the board's room...played a few rounds of Chor Tai Tee(CTT)....the we went home...

Sarah the secretary for Inauguration with the Japanese schoolgirls, just told me that i was appointed the Official Photographer for the event....

What a surprise....

Tenderfoot Camp

Reached school 1 and a half hour late cause i got tuition...
at that time they were playing station games...
but luckily i was still in time to sign up for manhunt...thanks to Mr.Chemical formula KOH

during manhunt, it was so damn boring....everyone seems to be going after the girls and not the guys with the clues....
Sam and i even blew our covers by waving the clue around...and still no one chase us...the juniors seems to be afraid of us....maybe they are just too shy...

after the manhunt, its lights off for the juniors and dinner for the seniors at Red Garden....some even crazy enough to drink beer...

next morning, we have morning PT and the cat 'n' mouse game.....during the game the juniors we sooo cute and funny....there was this kid, Derrick, very cute boy with little braces... he screamed so cutely when he was chased....he was rated the cutest junior in the camp....he is so cute that you'll wanna give him a big cuddly hug....

after that its studying time for the juniors....it was bored so i sneaked out and went out with Jin Shan and Jason to Tanjung Bungah to have lunch...Jin Shan and I had a little race while Jason rides slowly and safely....

after lunch went back to school, it was test taking at that time....just went in helped Sam...
then i got bored again, Jin Shan and I switched bikes for a while and ride around the school parking lot....then we talked and talked and talked....

then i went back in again, i was in time for water games...it was so fun watching the kids splashing each other....Derrick was still the funniest...he stood in front of the fire hose....he was the 1st one to get wet...the whole thing was just funny...

after that its clean up and sayonara....

This week have been really busy for me...

I've been very busy with BOCM OC since i was forced to be the Charmian...thanks to Alvin the chipmunk!!
there's the money, the games, the people attending and many other things...

other than OC, there's the t-shirt design which needs some touching up....
the money for the t-shirt still needs to be discussed..
and i still need to find a printer to print the t-shirts...

ahhh!!!....so DAMN frustrating!!!.....

Went to have 'Tim Sum' opposite MGS...

yesterday, everyone dressed formal and classy...
today, everyone turn to street...

the designated time to be there was 9am...
we thought we were late cause we reach there 9.30am..
but actually we were the first ones there...
everyone was fashionably late..

once everyone arrived, there were like 30 of us....we have to combine 5 tables to accommodate all of us...
i sat next to a guy which i have no idea who is he....i think he is one of cousins...
i didn't talk much..
i just ate, drink and ate more...
after breakfast,
we received a goodie bag from our Johor relatives...
after that, everyone went home..

we got nothing else to do so we decided to stop by Econsave supermarket and just check out the place..
then i saw this girl who looks very familiar....if I'm not mistaken, it's Sau Shan....
or maybe not?...

Dinner with relatives from out of town

Went to Red Rock Hotel for the dinner...
saw lots of unknown people....
everyone was like shaking hands, laughing, joking around while i was blur the whole time...
i did shake hands with my uncle from Johor....i didn't he existed until today...
he brought his whole family here including families from the mother's side and also one of them brought his girlfriend....
most of them speak Mandarin cause most of them don't know how to speak hokkien...
they all spoke 'chim chim peng peng' while i was like blur~~

we start off with 'Yee Sang'.... damn funny
followed by:-
-fake shark fin soup
-broccoli and assorted mushroom
-giant prawns
-Chinese sausage rice
-steamed fish
-fried 'tee kuih'
& honeydew sago dessert..my fav =]

after that, everyone went to the lobby, chat a little, then went home...

QB Mall after Breakfast

After the 'Tim Sum' breakfast, we head to Queensbay Mall

most of the shops were closed on that day...

we just walked round and round the mall...peeking through the windows of those closed shops like a couple of crazy people...XD

after a while, my parents got tired..so they rest on a bench while i go wondering around the place....

i was leaning by the railings then i saw this girl in a traditional Japanese waitress uniform...

it seem that she was looking at me...

so i decided to put it to the test...i walked around the place and still she looks at me....

i thought i was just imagining it....

then my parents were done resting, we walked pass her...

actually i was trying to avoid her by walking slowly away from her...

then she walks straight in front of me and gave me a flyer while smiling sweetly...

i wasn't imagining it...it was real...

i just say thank you and smiled back at her....

wow...

just my luck...

On the first day of CNY...

i was forced to wear my red & blue stripes Nike shirt...
cause its bad luck to wear black on the first day of new year..
and the only new clothes i have are my Black Giordano shirt and Black Echo Park jacket
so, it means no new shirt on the first day of CNY T_T

new year morning,
went to visit the bat's temple like we do every year....

then we went to our grandmother's house...
Xiang Lin & her family were the first ones to arrive followed by us
few minutes later Mien Kuok, Bih Zhu & their family arrived
the whole house was packed until some of them were forced to sit on the floor...
once everyone arrived, we played Black Jack like we do every year....my uncle become the banker of the game....i won RM10 from the game....=P

next we went to the Burmese Temple and Wat Chiaya Mangkaralam to offer some lotus candle..

after that we went to Richard's house (my father's friend & the owner of LibraCo)....we talked a lot there...they even talked me into drinking wine...LOL....

i heard there was an eclipse when i was there...i can't really see any eclipse..all i see was clouds covering the sun....=.="

later we went to my mother's brother's place....played squeaky ball with Ricky the dog for a while....then played with Chun How's PSP.....we had our dinner there...
after that we went home...

CNY Reunion Dinner

We had our reunion at a new restaurant just some walking distance from my grandmother's house....
we were to first ones to reach there
then it's Xiang Lin's family Bhi Zhu's Family..
while waiting for the food, Bhi Zhu and I were talking about her work, my future studies and other crappy stuff....i found out that she works as a writer/journalist...i think...
i also found out the Xiang Lin is working part-time in Paradise Sandy Bay Beach Resort

we had an 8 course meal...
first its the bit size opening dish
then followed by:-
-fake shark fin soup
-stuffed roast duck
-broccoli and mushroom
-steamed fish with spicy sauce
-satay prawn
-fried porridge
finally the dessert is longan and lychee

everything was just normal...nothing special...
uncle Sunny said the food was terrible...XD

Tourism Club 1st Meeting

A total of 150 students sign up to this club...
i freaked out when i saw that number...how am i gonna control all of them....
but only 90 students came to register....and still that is a large number...

we had to open two classes just for registration...one class for form 2 and 4 and the other class for form 1, 3 and 5...
everything started OK....individual form reps. registered their respective forms....registration went well....
next is the introduction of committees and teachers....all 90 of the club member have to cramp into one class...we got not enough chairs so some of them were forced to sit on tables...the classroom was packed like sardines...

me, as the chairman of the club have to be the emcee of the day....i started the introduction then followed by the other committees...i found a new treasurer, cause the previous treasurer together with all the form 6 QUIT...they told the teacher advisor that they can't handle too much work but actually they just left the club because they dislike the teacher advisor...just for that simple reason they QUIT!!...
luckily, my friend volunteer to replace them....

next, we showed the members what the club did during the previous years and also what we are going to do this year...there gonna be some new activities this year such as career talk by Chef Bruce Lee and a talk about world heritage by someone from UNESCO....there's also gonna be lots of tour this year, we're going to tour Golden Sand Resort, Adventist Hospital, War Museum, Penang Aquarium, factory visit, Bird Park, Spastic Centre and most anticipated Gua Tempurung...

later we select a new form 1 rep. through voting....
after that it's Sayonara...

Saturday motivational talk

Today is the first Saturday school..and i skipped school just to go to this motivational talk CLS...

Sam and I were forced to sit at the first row directly facing the speaker in the hall...
we were given a booklet...then we were asked to fill in the blanks according to the posters on the wall....

after everyone arrived, the master speaker came....the speaker has a cool name, U2 Kumar.... you don't hear that kind of name very often...
first he split everyone into 6 groups...I'm in group B...the most loudest, noisiest, craziest and obnoxious among all the groups....

every group will be given stars for doing something good such as cheering, supporting and answering questions....we get most of our points from cheering and supporting....
every group must collect at least 40 stars to graduate....there's also a record for collecting start...for the school record it's Sri KL with 72 stars and for the state record it's Johor with 102 stars...

he starts off with some principles then to some keys to success....he also asked us to say out loud some of the words such as 'I Love Exams' and many more....
there were also games such as cheering game...each group have to create a cheer and impress some selected girls so that they will give the group points...

towards the end, the speaker became kind of mad with all of us because some people just can't keep their mouth shut when the speaker is talking....he said his talks usually costs 1000+ and we just paid a small sum of money...but still some people keep interrupting his talk....
the speaker also told us about his life story....how he changed his life from wreck to riches...it was quiet touching together with the piano background music....i think it made one of the CLS teacher tear up....

then it's time to announce the group that collected the most stars...group B collected the highest stars and managed to beat Sri KL's record by 1 star....now St. Xavier's Institution will hold the school record...yay!!

right before the end, everyone sang this Malay song called 'gemuruh'....after that everything ends....
while on the way back to school, Sam showed me who is Jo lene.....it was the first time i saw her...she looks totally different than what I've imagined...sorry...i thought she look more like Sam but i don't see any resemblance between them....
while walking out of the gate we were sandwiched between lots and lots of girls....the guys say that "this would happen everyday if it is a coed school"....some even got the wrong idea...

after getting out of there...Sam and I went straight to the board's room...he suddenly got the urge to play CCT so we played until 2...

From a calm meeting to violent war

Today is the first BOCM Senior's meeting of the year 2009.....

before the meeting started, everyone take their seats and chat normally...
everything started out calm and fine like every other meetings...
until the Chairman started to voice out about the problems with the lower-secondary seniors...
according to the Chairman and Diviyan, the seniors have been very harsh to the form 1 monitors during duty....just because of a minor mistake the seniors rudely scold the form 1 monitors....

another problem is that the lower-secondary seniors are not treating the upper-secondary seniors with respect.....
that was the spark that ignites the fire....
the lower-sec seniors start saying that the upper-sec seniors are not doing their duty well....
then they start debating, pointing fingers and scolding each other until vulgar words can be heard...
everyone started screwing each other like there was no end....
everything was so chaotic but luckily there was no fighting....

at the end of the meeting, all the problems were settled....some of them shake hands with each other and some just walk away....
I was speechless throughout the whole meeting....I just sat there, looking serious and pretend to take notes....
how pathetic of me...(=.=")

Finally some free time

This week has been a really chaotic week for me...i barely got time to blog or even check my e-mails...
finally i got some free time to blog about about something...
let's see what happened this week..

i remember being in lots of meetings.....especially BOCM Orientation Camp meetings....
there's still lots of complications about this camp....lots of disagreements with the teachers...but at least we got a date for the camp....28th February....so all class monitors reading this, please attend this one day camp...it's compulsory for all class monitors...

there's also scout's council meeting....we got 2 new teacher advisors joining us.....the whole meeting is about planning this year's activity....the name of the annual camp has changed, again!..first, it's Group Training Camp(GTC) then it changed to Saints Annual Training & Adventure Camp(SATAC), now it's Super Scout Training Camp(SSTC)...

today, there's Tourism meeting....my presentation is done and all i have to do is show the teacher...but i forgot to change it into the compatible format...so all i did was show the teacher pictures....we get to enjoy apricot candy from Australia thanks to the teacher....
i received some bad news too...2 of our most important committees decided to quit due to some reasons....i was so damn frustrated when i received the news...but luckily some of my friends volunteer to take their place....Thanks you guys!!!

there was class monitor interview yesterday and today....yesterday, the interview so fun...i got paired up with Kar Ming...she can't stop laughing when we interviewed her friend....we asked lots of questions, some questions are important but mostly it are just silly questions.....we also almost made a guy cry....Kar ming and I just can't stop shooting that guy...it was so damn hilarious!!... i had to skip today's interview because of my Tourism meeting....T_T

BooHuu.......1st road accident

I can tell you this, It SUCKS!!

on my way back home from Gurney..
everything was fine, it drizzled a bit but everything was fine...
the accident happened near chung ling high school...
i was on the correct lane and i was about to turn to the right then this %#$x@*! guy on my right, who happens to be a 'sapu teksi' or 'teksi haram', accelerate and immediately turn to his left without any warning....his car hit me, i skidded and fell down on my side...everything happened so fast...my leg almost got run over by his car...

i have to push my bike to side of the road while injured....
the #%X@&*! guy came out of his car and the first thing he did was yell at me, "look what you have done to my car, pay me RM 10"
I'm the one bleeding like mad with my bike half wrecked and he expects me to pay him RM 10...
there was not a single scratch on his @%$^#! car....
that #$%@^&! even threatens to call the police....
after yelling back at his face, he said i don't have to pay him anything and he wants me to shake hands with him.....i just ask him #%&#$@! off

i currently sustain injuries on my knees, blisters on my hands and the worst is my ankle which is still bleeding like mad.....it hurts like hell...

my American Athlete jacket got hole in it and dirt all over it....my Nike shoes got stained by my blood...and my American Athlete slacks also got stained by my blood...T_T

Please do me a favour,

puncture it's tyre, break it's windshield, burn the whole car or just call me and I'll destroy the car together with the @#$%&*+#!!! driver.....

OC meeting in gurney

As usual i was the earliest....I was 1 hour early....
since there was time, I went to sunrise McD. to have my breakfast...
after I'm done with my breakfast, I went to the meeting point which is in Starbucks...
I got myself a toffee nut latte and waited for the others...

once everyone arrived, the meeting commence..
the meeting was said to be 2 hours but it was just 1 hour...
after that, we went to the arcade... Sam and I played time crisis 4....
we spent RM8 just to finish the whole game...
once we're done with the game, I was planning to go to Swensen's to have our lunch but Tina wanted to see Shirlene in Wongkok so we have no choice but to follow her and have our lunch there... by the way, Happy Birthday Shirlene!!!

after lunch, we decided to watch YES MAN.....
since there's time before the movie we went to the arcade again....that's when i saw Bala, Jack, Zhi Lin, Mei Wan, Wei Ern and Eu Kim
Zhi Lin and Mei Wan challenged me in Daytona...all i remembered was some stranger got 1st and i got 2nd...those girls hit me after i beat them in Daytona....XD

after the game i ran straight into the cinema cause i thought i was late for the movie but i made it in time with just a few minutes to spare...
the movie was so hilarious that i laughed till my stomach hurt....there was some scenes cut but overall the movie was awesome...

after the movie, i was ready to go back home...then i saw the girls again...i just sneaked out of their sight and just walk to the elevator, to the bike park and on my way home....

Tourism Club Project 80% complete

i can't seem to find much modern places of attraction..

Potluck with the last 3 remaining Brothers

There was this potluck planned by the discipline teachers...i think...
I'm not sure what's the reason of having it...
but i think it's a retirement party for the brothers...
at the beginning, SXI started out with 3 brothers and now it ends with the last 3 remaining brothers....

only BOD council members, chairman's and vice-chairman's were invited to this potluck...
those who were invited must bring some food or beverage...
here is what i brought...

everyone brought food and I'm the only one who brought the drinks...=.='

we had the potluck in the brother's quarters...
it was my first time going in the brother's quarters...

My Christmas

I didn't do much this Christmas...
even though it's not that grand or anything...
but it's still better than last year...

Christmas morning
forced myself to wake up early cause i was invited to JCMC's Christmas service in Dewan Sri Pinang...
even thought i woke up early, i was still late to the service...15 minutes late....
I skipped Call to Worship, Prayer and Hymn of Praise....
when i just reached there, the Sunday school choir just started performing...

I sat at the dark top left-hand corner of the hall trying to lay low and undetected by some people...but Agnes still manages to find me....(=.=')
when i first saw her, i was like 'WHOW'....her bright sparkling red dress with her high heels was just mesmerizing...
we sms almost throughout the whole service without bothering what's happening on the stage...

there was an Infant Baptism
it was my first time witnessing it in real life...
it wasn't what i expected but it's still nice to watch it for the first time...

later there was sketch, benediction and Christmas greetings...
then it was the end of the service....
i went out of the hall, trying to find Lucas...but instead i saw Pn.Lim, she was surprised to see me when i went to greet her...we chat a little then i continue finding that damn Lucas...
then Annabelle saw me...we sms a little...
then i saw Adam...we chat a lot about his school and food and stuff...then he show me the way to the back stage and into the dressing room...that's where i found that stinkin' Lucas together with Yikai...i beat him up, mock him and then we chat a little...after that he still makes fake promises...that bugger, the next time i see him I'm gonna beat him up nicely...

once i was bored, i just get out of there and ride my bike home....
caught in some traffic jam which i HATE the most..
but i still got home safely...
after that, i remembered watching Pink Panther then doze off until dinner...

woke up at 6pm for the last time in I.J. Centre, Cameron Highlands...packed my bags after my morning shower...then head down for breakfast...

i finished my breakfast early, so i went to the hall and pack my personal electronics stuff...

after everyone was done with their breakfast, they assemble in the hall and then the prize giving ceremony starts....

there were prizes for best female participant, best male participant, best sketch and best overall...the committees also recieve something from the teachers...

after the prize giving ceremony, the teacher gave a little briefing then everyone went to pack their bags.....the multimedia crew also pack all their electronic stuffand also managed to take a few pictures together with the partially broken LCD monitor

then it's sight seeing time....

first, we went to cactus valley....Sam and I took some crazy photos there together with Ngee Hsing and Chiu Ling....we had a crazy time in there....running around the whole place like little children...

we came across this sign when we were on the way out of the cactus valley.....Sam and I were laugh non stop when we saw this sign....

after that, we went to the strawberry farm just further up the cactus valley....Sam and I had a strawberry smoothie....Sam also bought a whole bag of strawberries....

during lunch, we have to find our own place to eat....some went to have steamboat while others went to some coffee shop....me, Sam and some other people found a KFC at end corner of a building....we went there to have our lunch.....we all agreed on buying a bucket of chicken....

after lunch, we head off to another place for sight seeing...this time it's a market with lots of stalls selling strawberries, cherry tomatoes, sweet corn and many more....

after the last place for sight seeing, we start our journey back to Penang....during the journey back home, something unexpected happened....it was sweet and nice....but 'SOME' people can't seem give some privacy and respect to it!!....but luckily no one found out what happend under the jacket...

after a long journey, we finally reached Penang....it was dark by then....once i got out of the bus the feeling was totally different from Cameron.....I really miss Cameron Highlands...

Leadership Training Camp '08 (day 4)

An exhausting and an exhilarating day...
it's also the last night at Cameron Highlands...sad T_T

so it's time to party all night long....too bad we can't =.=

20th November

as usual, woke up at 6am and manage to take a shower...once i got out of the shower i thought that i was late for the briefing on the jungle trekking...when i got down, everyone was already assembled at the porch....luckily the briefing have not started yet...

Wen Han and I were the caretakers of group 6 while Mr.Asri is the teacher in-charge of group 6....after the briefing was done, we all started walking from I.J. Centre to the jungle trekking place....
we started easily by just walking on some flat ground and some narrow passages...later it gets harder, we have to hike up the steep and slippery hill.....

after break and the photo taking, we started hiking down....while hiking down, someone got the cramps and the hiking stops for a moment....the first aiders came rushing towards the girl and tried to treat her cramps....while they were doing that we continued hiking down...

after the hike, every one's shoes and pants were covered with mud.... it was so difficult to wash then off...after finishing that, we had lunch then its sketch preparation...

after that is amazing race + station games....i was in charge of the last station which is the balloon transfer...since my station was the last, me and a few people got nothing to do....so we created this super fun game using a balloon...

later that night, it's sketch time for group 4, 5 & 6.....there was a bit of a technical error with the sound system but everything went smoothly after that...

after the sketch was done, it's reflection...everyone have to shut their eyes and reflect what we have done throughout the camp...but most of them were sleeping....i was playing with the computer...XD

after the reflection, it's a small party at the form 4's room.....the committees too have their own party, the committees had KFC....

after finishing the chickens, we sat down and chat about stuff, went to disturb the bats and more chatting until its really late at night....we went to sleep after that.....

Leadership Training Camp '08 (day 3)

a day of .......ermm...uuh......what did we do on day 3 ?? =.="
i pretty much forgot what happened on day 3....
so here's what i remembered...

19th November

woke up at 6am followed by calisthenic as usual....

i remembered that there was sessions by Isaac....
first activity was a tangle up game....its hard to explain but here's how it goes...in a group, all the members hold hands in an entangled position... the goal is to try to get out of that entangled position and become a circle....

the next activity is human surfing....everyone come together and put their hands up while some lucky guys get to be carried by them....

the final activity was about communication...each group have to pass a message to the back and the last person says out the message...

next is a partner activity...first, a person talks and the other listens... second is the types facial expression in different situations...

after the last session was done, Varun and Isaac summarise all the sessions throughout the camp....then Adrian gave a short speech and Mr.Choo gave them a token of appreciation...

later its wash up and sketch preparation...during that time something sick and hilarious just happened...the 'Finisher', Ken Shen, and the other form 4s wedgie 4 people....it was freakin' hilarious....i can't stop laughing when that happened...

after that is dinner....after dinner is time for sketch.....group 1's sketch was rather funny and followed by group 2 and then 3.....
i forgotten what happen after sketch....so I'll skip that....

for me and a few committees we have to wake up at 3am for security duty....i barely sis anything...i just patrol around the dorm once and slept on the sofa at the living area until my shift is done.....after my shift is done, i just went back to my bed and continue sleeping...

Leadership Training Camp '08 (day 2)

Kinda busy and lazy blog these days...always coming back late at night....
finally i got the time..so here's the continuation of my LTC...

18th November

we were woken up at 6am...at that time it was freezing cold...my feet were cold, the bed was cold and the floor was icy cold...me and some guys went to clean up and take a shower...the shower was a bit crazy...for a moment the water is warm, then it becomes smoking hot, then later it becomes icy cold....
after that crazy shower, we went down for calisthenic and after that everyone had their breakfast...

after breakfast, its another session by Varun.....I've forgotten what's the session about but i think its something about a group discussion, balloons and also he let us listen to a song, The Worlds Greatest by R Kelly....later it's another session by Isaac..he talked about types of leaders and let us compete in a tower building competition...the tower must be strong and as tall as Mahesh...they are only given straws, newspaper and tapes to build the tower...

after the sessions, it's time for wet games...it's so fun watching people getting wet and floured...i was lucky at the beginning because i was busy taking photos but in the end i still get floured and partially wet...most of the people however got really wet and really cold...they were all shivering after the game...here are some pf the photos i took..

Leadership Training Camp '08 (day 1)

finally after 3 days of resting, i got the time and the mood to blog about LTC....

the theme for this year's LTC is "Vision With Action Will Change The School"

i must say, this has been the best camp I've ever been to

there's just one word to describe this camp, "AWESOME"

here's how it started...

17th November

i left home at 5.30am and reached school at 6.00am, just in time....everyone were given an awesome t-shirt designed by Ken Shen...

after everyone arrived, we went up to the bus and start our long journey to Cameron Highlands....

everyone were busy doing their stuff in the bus... some were playing PSP, listening to music, reading books, sleeping and there's also a guy playing with his Gameboy....

as usual i sat with Sam in the bus....he brought his PSP so i was the first one to play it....i was playing God of War...again...

later we had our breakfast at a rest stop with lots of Malay stalls...while having breakfast Chin Yoong(bunny) and i coincidentally met with Ruth and GYM and some other MGS girls...bunny just starts flirting with them while i fled the scene and went into the bus....Sam went to the back of the bus and played his PSP with the others....then Ngee Hsing sat beside me and we listened to my mp4 while talking about some personal stuff...

after 6 hours in the bus, we finally reached Barre I.J. Centre, Cameron Highlands

when i got out of the bus, a gust of cold wind just blew toward me....the feeling was awesome...

now i finally realised what they meant when they say Cameron is cold...i quickly took my bags and went into the building and the first this i saw was this magnificent picture of BL. Nicolas Barre founder of the Institute of Infant Jesus Sisters

everyone assembles in the hall and just wait until everything is unloaded from the bus....the multimedia crew, that includes me, also start setting up the desktop and the PA system... to our grief, we found out that Mahesh's LCD monitor cracked...everyone was shocked for a moment...but luckily it still can be used but just that a quarter of the screen cant be seen...

after everything was done, everyone sat in their groups and were each given a booklet...

everyone were assigned to their dorm rooms...all the rooms were names of flowers...the EXCO's room was Orchid...the other members were Carnation and Hibiscus...

after that was done, we started the ice breaking game...it was fun when someone got forfeited...they will get a face filled with toothpaste....here are some of the victims...

after icebraking, its wash up then the first session...Isaac was the 1st speaker for the session...he let us do some project on the mahjong paper...the 2nd speaker was Varun, ex-Head Prefect...he told the life story of La Salle...he even talked about our rivalry against pfs....

after the session, we played dodge ball....i was fun but my group lost in the first round....what a shame

after the game is done, everyone went to sleep....committees had a post mortem for the day then its snoozing time....

once the others came, we went into the restaurant...

Penang Bridge International Marathon (duty)

reached Queensbay Mall at 11.55pm....
to my surprise, there was more people than i thought and Coffee Bean was still open at that time of the night...
after everyone came, i took their attendance then we were split into groups....
we were given 2 tasks, one is to be 'sanitary engineers' and the other is to be traffic control.....

at first i was doing the task of 'sanitary engineers'.....
the only area that we are suppose to keep clean is the cafeteria area.....
when we finished clearing the trash, all of us just sat and chat for hours and hours.....
some of us even got the chance to sleep during duty....
when i got bored, Sam and i decided to go to the other station which is 2km away....while walking towards the other station we met E-en from the Thailand jamboree...he and his friends participate in the run for fun.....

went to the other station which is to control the traffic.....
that station is more fun because there's more funny people to talk to....
but its also kinda difficult because we have to direct thousands of running people towards a small narrow lane....

when the marathon was over, Michael and i walk back to the main tent....cheerleaders were behind us and chi-ko-pek's behind the cheerleaders....LOL
once we were all there, we rested for an hour then the food comes....we had french toast and some nasty char koay teow....after that, Sam and i decided to go in to Queensbay Mall since everyone is just sitting down and doing nothing....we hang out for quite a long time...when we return to the tent everyone seems to be missing...so i called the TL and he said that everyone went back home....we skipped the whole singing of the troop song and for that we didn't get the certificate, the money and the t-shirt....=.=

later Sam and i went to Mcd. and had sausage Mc.muffin with eggs + hash brown + black coffee..
my dad can't fetch me back cause he is in some speech...so i went to Sam house to wait for my dad to fetch me back.....i went in to Sam's house and halfway up the stairs, then Carissa came running towards me and gave me a hug..so sweet...
went into Sam's room and meet Andrew, Sam's cousin from Singapore...i played Gears of War...like that game so much....i played until my dad came and fetch me home...

No sleep tonight

all this because my troop is helping out in the Penang Bridge International Marathon...

so now I'm off to Queensbay Mall...that will be our checkpoint.

Paul doesn't want us to be people with no sense of style...LOL....but there's a catch, if students were caught with long hair, they will be given a free number 3 haircut, complimentary of the discipline teachers....

now i get to keep my hair...wooohooo!!!!!!!!

Last day of school

Last day of school....but it doesn't feel like it...it feels just like another day where the school ends...

it's not much fun this year....less explosions, less pranks and less destruction's....no fun...
not like a few years back where there's stink bombs, smoke bombs, home-made bombs, rotten eggs, flour, glitters, glue, curry mee soup, a whole watermelon, cakes, ice-cream and many more things that can end the last day of school chaotically....ahh....the good old days...

I went to Queensbay Mall again with couples A+T and WH+KM...two 'so called' couples and lonely me... XD

at about 2pm i went to meet up with Alvin at his house...we talk some crap while waiting for Tina to drive us to Queensbay Mall..

after some time, Tina came, pick us up then pick Kar Ming up....Alvin talk and joke around non-stop all the way to Queensbay Mall...

after finish eating, we realise that its 5.35...so we went up and waited for Weng Hoe and Callista outside of the cinema...when they arrive it was already 5.45...we missed 15 minutes of the movie...=.=

the find movie was very funny but for some reason i didn't laugh much....suddenly i lost my sense of humour...i have no idea why....-.-

after the movie, we decided to go back home....so Tina drive us home....all of a sudden, Alvin became very quiet not like earlier in the afternoon...after Tina drop off Alvin at his house, Tina and I had a little chat...we chat about her house, her sisters, friends, friendster and many more that I've forgotten.....we talk and laugh until we reach my house....

Practical is today....
went to that place again...i thought i got a new instructor but it's still the same old rude jackass...that guy barely taught me anything...he didn't even taught me how to use the gear....he just ask me to use the highest gear and ride around the place....that guy didn't let me ride on the obstacle course....after riding around the place, he let me rest and said the practical will be starting soon....so i rest and wait...then 2 hours just pass by...i got frustrated and ask the instructor when is the practical starting and he says "soon"....so i waited for another 1 hour, then the lady at the counter just call out my name and said I'm free to go back...and just like that i got my 'L' licence...

there's also a few remix songs and i especially like "하루 하루/Haru Haru"[acoustic remix]....
it begins of with the piano playing a slow tune....then the song goes on with a combination of piano and acoustic guitar which i totally adore....it persists magnificently with 'Haru Haru'....

Practice, practice, practice

I'm still trying to get a hang of this bike riding....especially the figure 8 turn, that's the most difficult for me...

i started practicing yesterday in the afternoon...
first i practiced at the parking lot but since it's too small my dad took me to this abandoned park not far from my house which is much bigger....then i started with the basic and move on to the difficult ones...i did not bad and i kinda enjoyed it...
i practiced until i lost track of time and forgotten that i have tution...
so yesterday i skipped tuition....yay!

today i decided to practice another time since i got nothing else better to do....i wanted to practice by myself but my mum wants to follow so i cant do anything but let her follow....when i started practicing, she starts to nag and nag and make me lose my focus.....=.=
it didn't went out that well today....

tomorrow will be the last day of practice before the real day....lets just hope there's no more distractions and everything goes well...=]

From success to embarrassment

It started out with the computer exam....

went to the driving institute in the morning...after everyone came, we were taken to a new place which is just in front of USM....everyone got to take a number for the exam....mine was number 20...once i got my number the lady ask me to wait until they call my number....so I waited, waited and waited....i even slept on the chair while waiting....until then i realised that 3 and a half hour just passed....I waited 3 and a half hours just for my turn to do the computer exam....
when my number was called...I went to the counter to scan my thumbprint but suddenly, the main computer malfunctioned and I have to wait for an extra half an hour.....
when the computer is fixed, I scan my thumbprint and went straight to the computer room and did my exam....
during the practice exam, i tried 4 times and failed all of them....but fortunately during the real exam...success!!... I PASSED!!....42/50....not bad for a person who did the real exam once....most of the people there took the exam for the second time....now I get to move on the 6 hour of theory & practical.....

since there's a 3 hour theory in the afternoon, I decided to take it...
I had lunch by myself at some coffee shop...then i was taken to place where I did my khursus.... I went to a new classroom for another lecture about bikes and the obstacle course for 1 and a half hour...then for another 1 and a half hour, it's out of the classroom....
that's when the embarrassment starts....
everyone manages to push their bike out from the double stand including me but then i didn't realise the bike was that heavy, I lost balance and just drop the bike right in front of everybody.....that's soo embarrassing....after that i was soo nervous that I froze up and totally forgot how to ride the bike....that's the worst....then I was asked sit down and watch the others riding their bikes.....luckily that was just a practice run....if that was the real deal, I would have failed my practical and destroy my chance on getting a licence.....

now all I got to do is overcome my nervousness and practice riding a bike for the practical, which is on the 12th of November....*shivers*

Inter-class games '08

Inter-class games are suppose to be fun....but this year it's BORING......................................................................................
i wasted 4 hours doing nothing but watching sucky football matches...

for the past 3 years, I've been playing volleyball for inter-class but this year i didn't.....
all because we got not enough players....so for the volleyball match, our class were forced to forfeit.....

the football match was also terrible....all the science stream classes lost to the arts stream classes....all the science stream classes scored nil except for ours...our class scored 3 goals but we still lost to 4a1 who scored 5 goals.....

when everything was done, i went to recess.....after that i went back to class, read GALAXIE magazine, gaze at Yuna Ito's poster and talk crap with the guys....
later we studied a bit of physics then we went back home...
